Job Description
We are on the preferred supplier list of the UK's major rail company; they have a dedicated arm that is specialising in the Thameslink Project. They are looking for a Rail Project Manager to lead a team into and through the project.
What will the Thameslink Programme deliver?
The Thameslink Programme will be one of the biggest rail projects ever in the UK (taking an estimated 40 million hours to complete).
Passengers on the Thameslink route will benefit from 50 per cent longer trains and new direct services (e.g. Cambridge to Gatwick).
The scheme will reduce overcrowding on the Underground, with three times as many trains travelling through London every hour (an increase from 8 to 24).
New stations will be built and bottlenecks removed at Blackfriars and London Bridge.
Better dispersal of passengers from the new St Pancras International station.
Platform extensions will be carried out at 50 stations outside of central London.
You will have previous rail experience, you will also hold relevant qualifications, as project manager you will be able to demonstrate that you can work on large projects as well as projects like platform extensions.
In return a remuneration package that includes, good basic salaries, £2250 London Allowance, final salary pension, bonus, and 45% discount rail travel.
