Job Description
A south London Council is looking for a planning officer to work within a group of Town Planners.
The role will involve processing a wide range of planning applications, provide professional advice and making recommendations for determination. Also to prepare and process all Planning Applications and associated legal documents, including agreements, notices, orders, consents, relevant to the work of the Council and of Individual Departments.
You will be regularly advising front line staff and occasionally advising the Members and Chief Officers and Departments as to the planning principals on matters specifically relating to the work of the section.
The successful candidate will have planning experience and experience of negotiation with agents, the private sector and other third parties or planning issues.You will also have a Planning Degree or equivalent qualification accredited by the RTPI.
