Job Description
This reputable and renowned developer is seeking a Technical Manager to join the radiply expanding team as this client seeks to make its mark on London and the South East. With an impressive portfolio of large value mixed use and residential developments this company directly employ all members of their Construction team and are seeking to appoint a high calibre Technical Manager who has previous expertise in the residential field and have worked on a number of similarly large mixed-use schemes for recognised developer/house builders. Your duties will include the following;
Organisation and preparation of detailed design drawings.
Writing project and elemental specifications.
Updating of computer based drawings.
Site visits and inspections.
Arranging copies of information for other departments, consultants and site contractors where required.
Electronic and hard copy issue and registering of drawings received from consultants and internal design team members.
Management of design contractor information - review, collation, register and issue where required.
Assisting other members of the internal design team in their day-today duties.
Coordination of external consultants.
Liaison with building control authority, fire authority and other regulatory bodies.
Liaison with States departments where required.
Liaison with utility service providers.
Customer liaison where required.
Supervision of other architectural/drawing office staff.
Such other duties, reasonably consistent with the foregoing, as may be required.
Ensure all records of design changes are kept to coordinate “as built” drawings upon completion of the project.
Obtain design risk assessments required from project consultants and design contractors.
Liaison with the external Planning Supervisor and/or internal Safety Manager/Advisors.
Assisting in the assessment of design and build tenders.
Organising and chairing external/internal design team meetings as required.
Managing design problem issues raised by Construction staff as required.
