Job Description
The Development and Construction team require a Civil Engineer to support the planning and delivery activities associated with the development and construction of the Kingsnorth Coal Project.
The position will be responsible for developing and implementing traditional and novel solutions for the enabling and major civil works associated with the creation of the project. This may be through Turnkey or individual contracts.
The range of duties will include:
• Leading development of site layout configuration to optimise utilisation of sites against site specific conditions and existing services.
• Ensuring the specification of technical requirements for all enabling and main works.
• Management of Architects and designers in support of planning and implementation phases of Projects.
• Ensuring structural and Occupational Safety is inherent in our design and implementation strategies.
• Ensuring technical solutions meet the conceptual and lifetime requirements
It is likely that each candidate will be a Chartered Engineer and have a demonstrable track record in Energy Industry or Major Projects. Specific knowledge in Estuarine and river locations is essential whilst evidence of previous experience in the role of Client Engineer is desirable.
The role requires a high degree of initiative as well as excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. Interpersonal and influencing skills will be key in developing successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver variety of assigned work.
