This professional and specialized organization requires a Chief Structural CAD Technician to manage their established team.

You will be responsible for training and team standards reporting to the Board of Directors

Having proven experience as a CAD manager, you will have excellent managerial skills and will be training and supervising juniors.
You will have experience of structural drafting and have a strong leadership background

Main responsibilities will include…

· Management and supervision of team of CAD technicians
· Control of standards including through the creation of templates for the
· Team of CAD technicians
· Liaising and meeting with clients, contacts and architects to provide a coordinated
· Approach
· Recruitment of staff, involvement in interviewing and recruitment and
· Making recommendations to the Board.
· Providing training and support to CAD technicians
· General drafting including preparation of G.A plans, Elevations, Sections
· And details and Detail Drawings
· Coordination of transition from AutoCAD to Revit

Requirements

Minimum HND in Civil/Structural Drafting is preferred but not essential if
Candidate has the required experience at the appropriate level. Training in
Revit Structure 4 is preferred.

· Team leadership experience of large new build retail center projects
· Alterations on existing retail centers
· Mixed use high rise
· Smaller refurbishments ... alterations
· Revit Structures 4 and Revit Structures 2008
· Extensive knowledge of Composite Structural Steelwork.
· Extensive knowledge of Post-Tension Concrete Structures.
· Piling
· AutoCAD 2004 +
· MS Office
· Proven managerial, supervision and leadership skills
· Experience of training juniors
· Experience of recruitment
· Good Communication skills
