Job Description
CROSSRAIL. a £16billion programme to link by rail East to West London. The client behind this project is looking for a Corporate Commercial Manager.
This position is required to lead and agree the commercial development and implementation requirements for the Crossrail project in line with governance processes. Special personal & professional qualities are sought for the appointment.
Candidates must be technically skilled, commercially astute and politically aware. They must have the stature to work with the Board and to lead and influence change in the industry, but also be able to work with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels. They must also have good decision-making judgement leadership ability and a high quality of mind.
Experience
Experience at a senior corporate contract policy/commercial role in a major infrastructure organisation, dealing with directors and heads of business. Experience with central and local government and industry bodies. Rail industry experience would be an advantage, but candidates with the right skill set and attitude may come from other industries.
Proven successful structuring and negotiation of high value complex contracts, involving creative solution development and handling contract positions with several parties. Proven ability to stand firm on new initiatives and contract alignment, in the face of tradition and different cultures.
Combines commercial, programme management, risk management and political skills in equal measure. Proven ability to lead and take a position with sound judgement, with awareness of its commercial and legal implications and where reference for legal support is appropriate.
Combines experience, personal qualities and judgement enabling him/her to advise top management, & represent externally with Customers, Outside Parties, the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR), Government & Industry.

Strong communication skills: impacting, reasonable, realistic, good humoured and articulate.
Team focused: listens and learns, flexible in attitude. A natural leader, mentor & developer of people.
This high level position will require evidence of experience in a detailed curriculum vitae, in return a six figure package is on offer with Health care, final salary pension, bonus, car allowance.
