Job Description

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

•Provide technical excellence of the delivery of newly developed energy services for BV UK

(Energy Performance Certificates, Energy audits)

•Develop additional energy services from the deployment of EPC’s and energy audits

•Develop new and innovative energy related services; cost benefit feasibility of energy services in

property, development and industrial client base

•Work actively with other Bureau Veritas businesses such as Certification, Bureau Veritas global

companies to provide energy / carbon / carbon trading services

•Participation in EMSR senior management meetings

•Support pro-active input to the overall management of the HSE Division / EMSR team and deliver

overall technical leadership for the division through close working with the Business Manager

•Manage contracts and associated project team members to optimise utilisation, retention and

profitability

•Deliver consistent services to client and identify potential for improvement by working with the

Business Manager

•Support the development of a clear business development strategy, Pursue potential new clients

and actively seek new business in coordination with the sales team

•Deploy marketing skills to nurture client relationships and secure contract sell-ons and

extensions. Attend client meetings to deliver effective technical and commercial solutions to

clients

•Manage and support consultants’ technical delivery with the Business Manager to client

providing training where necessary

Key Skills PERFORMANCE MEASURES

•Ensure technical leadership for the delivery of energy related services

•Delivery of utilisation targets (65% minimum) for chargeable work to clients

•Development of clear portfolio of energy services starting with Energy performance Certificates, energy auditing

•Managing service to client’s expectations

•Point of contact for technical service proposals and maintenance of technical competence of the energy team

JOB HOLDER’S PROFILE

•Educated to Degree level or equivalent qualification or experience in an Engineering related subject

•CIBSE LCC register, Energy Institute or Carbon Trust Panel

•Working knowledge of energy related services and energy services market in the UK

•Ability to support the motivation of a team to enable effective delivery

•Ethics and integrity

•Autonomy in taking decisions and willing to share knowledge

•Ability to work under pressure and to acquire new skills by self-teaching

•Desire to deliver strong and consistent service to client under acceptable commercial terms

•Innovation / ability to support development of new products by working with Business Manager

•Ability to communicate with peers, sub contract staff, BV Management Team and clients at all levels

•Clear understanding of the financial terms under which we do our business

•Strongly client focused and good communication skills
