Daylight and Environmental Design Consultant

Job Purpose

Aiding clients to realise their Environmental Design aspirations from conception through to project completion. Guiding the design of environmentally responsive buildings that meet the requirements of contemporary and future Planning and Environmental policy and guidance.

Overview

The Department act as consultants advising on a wide range of areas connected with Daylight and Environmental Design. For example:

 Environmental Impact Assessments
 Site Appraisal
 Interior Daylight Penetration
 Internal Glare and Brightness control
 Solar Gains
 Static/Active Shading Design
 Daylight Linking
 Atrium Design
 Overshadowing, Transient and Permanent Shadow
 Reflected Solar Glare
 Light Pollution

Skills and experience
We would like a candidate who has been exposed to as many of the areas above as possible.
