Job Description

The construction consultancy arm of this leading property developer now seeks an established senior consultant to assist the Regional Manager on Education projects.

This is a front-end advisory role to lead their clients through the project management process from initial concept to completed handover of major Education schemes in the South East of the UK.

In summary you will be required to:

-Advise clients on contract procurement
-Liaise with consultants and manage design process, hold meetings and prepare minutes
-Advise on cost control procedures and reporting
-Advise on programme requirements
-Prepare contract documentation and administer building contracts
-Monitor site progress, hold meetings and prepare minutes
-Inspect (with consultants as necessary) and handover buildings to client
-Ensure defects and final accounts are provided

Due to the consultancy nature of this role you will need to have completed a construction-based degree and have a minimum of 5 year’s experience of providing project management services to leading clients.

The ability to form good relationships with clients and consultants to build projects on time, within cost and to good quality is paramount and knowledge of alternative forms of contract and innovative procurement methods would be highly regarded.

En excellent salary and package of £40,000 to £50,000 is on offer to the successful applicant plus bonus schemes for promoting new work and/or developing existing clients within the Education field.
