Experienced Principal Enforcement Officer (£25), Enforcement Planner (£23) and Enforcement Officer (£21) required for this Local Authority contract.
Principal Enforcement Planner - Your main responsibilities will be to provide information and basic advice on planning enforcement matters to members of the public. You will investigate complaints and allegations of unauthorised developments, including visits to and interviews with members of the public. You will have good communication skills; have the ability to operate within a multi-functional team, delivering results under pressure and during periods of change. You will have previous experience in managing a team. You will be degree level qualified or equivalent. This role requires a car.
As an Enforcement Planner your primary responsibility will be to investigate and undertake the whole range of enforcement activities. These will include investigating complaints in connection with alleged planning acts, carry out site visits, research & collate evidence and from this to propose appropriate solutions for resolving problems. You will also be required to prepare reports including committee reports and you will be required to supervise other staff members. You will be degree level qualified or equivalent and be a car owner and driver.
Enforcement Officer - You will have a minimum of 6 months UK experience, the post-holder must have knowledge and experience of existing UK legislation, in order to be able to ‘hit the ground running’ The role will involve investigating complaints in respect of breaches and alleged breaches of planning legislation, as well as preparing and giving evidence at public inquiries. This role requires a car as you will be going out on site visits.
