Community based.
Interdisciplinary-Health and social care staff jointly
managed in one base.
Car driver essential. Needs good I.T. skills as all documentation is on-line and shared with social services.
skills/ work experience Previous neuro-rehab. intermediate care.
elderly services. special school services

Or any combination of the above. Preference , obviously if previous Learning Disability experience.
Needs good understanding of Manual Handling Practice.
This person will be responsible for delivering respiratory care to very
disabled people and will need to feel confident to carry out both
Naso-pharyngeal suction and Oral suction in non clinical areas.

There may be Hydrotherapy sessions to run and organize three times a week.
Close working with Speech and Language therapists for Dysphagia
management essential

THIS IS A SENIOR 1 POST.
PART TIME COULD BE CONSIDERED.
THIE PERSON NEEDS TO BE CONFIDENT WITH GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND
ABLE TO WORK WITH FAMILIES AS WELL AS PAID CARERS IN LOCATIONS WITHIN THE
COMMUNITY.
