Transport Planner / Transportation Engineer

The Transportation team within a Reputable, well-established consultancy who has been involved in a wide range of projects is seeking a Transport Planner/Transportation Engineer to join their team of specialist Engineers in their Croydon offices. Expertise in this field of Highway / Transportation Engineering is recognised in long-standing association with many national developers. Projects have included:-Northern Perimeter Roads, Heathrow, various airside/landside transportation projects, BAA master-planning input to major development sites and PFI projects for major contractors, including parent company Carillion. Current projects include Independent Sector Treatment Centres in and around London, Stansted Generation 2 and various development planning and road safety projects

You will be reporting to the Associate Director of Transportation, the job holder will have the following responsibilities:
Responsibility for projects (or major tasks within larger projects)
Manage graduates/support
Lead internal and external negotiations including those with Local Authorities
Undertake technical design and offer advice at various stages
Advise clients on all issues including transportation within the planning process
Provide support to the Associate Director

You will be expected to have IEng, CEng, MSc, BSc,
Ideally experience of the following software:
ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG/OSCADY, TRICS AUTOCAD (preferable but not essential)

Experience in many of these areas
Traffic ... highway engineering/planning
Development Planning
Transport Assessments and Reporting
Feasibility studies
Master planning
Project management
Working with developers
Management of graduates/technicians
Local Authority negotiations
Design standards
