Job Description

Qualified Social Worker required for Essex County Council where you will be joining the Community Mental Health Team. Our client requires you to have 1 years experience working within mental health. You will contribute to the formal planning procedure for patients being considered for discharge both under Section 117 of the Mental Health Act 1983 and under Care Programme Approach. You will be party to joint agreements with the Consultant Psychiatrist or responsible medical officer in respect of post discharge aftercare arrangements. To ensure that patients are offered a social work service after discharge and that agreed services are being provided, as appropriate.
You will participate in the multi-disciplinary crisis intervention service for people with mental health problems.

The Position is to start ASAP and is for 3 months initially. You must be eligible to work in the UK, hold a Social Work Qualification, GSCC registered with a current CRB, driver preferred.
