Project Manager, ideally with D & B Experience. Immediate requirement for this successful and expanding civil engineering contractor, turning over nearly £200m, to take on a new city site.

The Contractor has a strong financial background specialising in RC structures and moving on from the shell and core to turnkey projects to £40m. The company has grown considerably over the last 5 years and is heading for a turnover exceeding £200m and already has work secured for the forthcoming year that will see a considerable growth in turnover. The company has a reputation for pushing the jobs forward in their goal to increase their turnover.

This project is a new build project with a package value of £2 to £2.25m of groundworks and substructure RC with a steel frame, lightweight decks with a concrete topping.

The intention is to either take on a Senior Site Manager who is ready for the next move or an established Project Manager who wishes to be properly rewarded for their hard work. With an Engineering background you will be expected to take on full managerial responsibilities reporting to a roving Contracts Manager.

Winning additional projects in the £2.5 to £17m range, has given rise to increased staffing requirements necessitating site based positions for professionals with experience that takes you from extensive groundworks packages with associated infrastructure works and RC structures through to fit out and handover. The most suitable candidates will have strong Engineering skills and be aware of being responsible for the commercial success and long term programming as well as maintaining the high profile Health & Safety status that the company supports.

The Candidates we seek should be Degree qualified with a minimum of 5 – 7 years relevant UK experience either for a progressive main contractor or a strong subcontractor. Your career path to date will clearly show that you have been able to work under pressure and performed in a professional manner. You must be legally permitted to live and work in the UK to be considered.
