Project Manager’s Assistant – RC Frames. Immediate start available on this project in Hackney. This is either a Permanent or a Contract position, the company will view both options. This Contractor is a very successful and go-ahead company with a sound financial background, and an enviable growth record with a strong knowledge of the construction industry. Established over 25 years ago they have always taken on staff prepared to “work hard and play hard, for excellent rewards”.

No 2 to the Project Manager your role will require you to have a good technical knowledge of RC frames and their construction methods and be able to ensure that the client’s exacting standards are met. This is a £8.5m project. This is a new scheme so there is plenty of opportunity for either a long contract role, or a permanent position.

The project is a £ multi million project providing mixed commercial and residential over the next 60 weeks. Ideally you will have a Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with a strong engineering background and wish to put your technical knowledge to good use. This is a role that requires strong technical and written skills, the ability to produce rolling daily, weekly and monthly programmes, calling of and scheduling materials and deliveries with diplomatic and negotiating skills to work with the client, a sense of humour would be beneficial!

You are probably an Engineer who wishes to move from a field role to a co-ordinating role on a route to management or a trades qualified person seeking an opportunity to progress from a hands on style to the overview role. Strong written and oral communication skills are required with IT knowledge essential as much of the reporting is electronic as are drawing issues and most communication with Head Office and the off site Professional team.
