Job Description

A 4* luxury hotel located on the Essex/Hertfordshire border requires a Conference and Banqueting Supervisor to take responsibility for the Event Operations Department. Successful applicants will have effective sales skills to up-sell products and services together with a knowledge of Event Service Operations and will be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of facility management. He/she will have knowledge of banquet and event technology operations, products and services and have effective financial management skills e.g., ability to understand P&L statements, manage operating budgets, labour forecasting and scheduling. Together with strong communication skills and effective conflict management skills the successful candidate will also have: strong customer and associate relation skills; effective coaching and development skills; strong organizational skills; effective decision making skills; strong problem-solving skills and good training/facilitator skills. All candidates should have a knowledge of purchasing, inventory controls, supplies and equipment and be able to effectively manage labour productivity according to governmental regulations and safety standards.
All candidates should be eligible to live and work in the UK.
