Group Financial Accountant. Salary - £50k + benefits

Profile: We are looking for somebody with a long term experience as an internal financial accountant in preferably a construction related environment. The ideal candidate would be a number 2 to the chief accountant or FD in a large construction company who has limited opportunity of going any further in his present company.

This exciting new role offers the opportunity to join a progressive construction based group near Woking. The successful candidate will supervise a small accounts team and be responsible for the entire financial accounts production including management cost reporting, financial accounts production, systems development and cash management for the group. Potential candidates should ideally be qualified by experience with an appropriate accountancy qualification. You will be an integral part of the group management team and good communication skills, business awareness and fluency in multi tasking are essential to success in this new position.

Overall Features of the Post:

• Will be reporting direct to Board of Directors
• Will be responsible for the administrative staff and the smooth running of all the administrative functions
• Preparing the monthly management accounts
• Preparing financial accounts together with working paper files for auditors
• Preparing fortnightly costing report and other info for surveyors
• Dealing with daily cashflows report and monthly forecasts
• Preparing and monitoring budgets
• Dealing with IT systems and softwares
• Dealing with internal control procedures and admin job functions
