Job Description

Key Tasks for this position are :
Our client has only been in the UK since 2000, they have over forty years' experience in the construction and development of state of the art shopping centers and retail developments.
As a result of continued growth, they have a new opportunity for an Internal Finishes Package Manager with experience working in large commercial Developments.

Role Overview:
Your role will include management of the internal site production team, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.
You will be required to ensure that suppliers / subcontractors’ works are coordinated and produced in accordance with the drawings and specifications and in accordance with the Contract Program.

Project Delivery:
• Managing the site production team, suppliers and subcontractors to construct the works safely, efficiently, to program and within budget.
• Ensure that the works are undertaken safely and in accordance with all HS&E legislation and the site Health, Safety and Environmental Plans.
• Co-ordinate efforts of site production and commercial teams
• Assess, approve and write method statements and write risk assessments.

Group Safety:
Managing Site Logistics, including, but not limited to:
Health, Safety and Environmental Inductions, training and inspections
Site welfare facilities
Direct labor

Technical Excellence:
To be aware of and maintain an understanding of the contract documents, appropriate codes of practice, standards and specifications.
To correctly interpret information from drawings and specifications and transfer this to the site operatives and sub-contractors.
To constantly review existing procedures and processes to put forward suggestions for improvement.
To have a thorough understanding of safety, health and environmental risks and their controls; to be able to implement and monitor the effectiveness of control measures on site.

Experience working for a major company in the same role would be an advantage.

*Key Experience / Skills Required:

The person must have experience with large scale developments.

This role will require drive, flexibility and the applicant will ideally have experience in the retail construction.
