Job Description

This engineering consultancy is looking for a Highway Design Engineer to support a team by providing designs for a range of highway design projects for national and local roads using a range of software packages. Providing a responsive, customer focused service to external and internal clients. The right candidate will be able to:
- Produce project designs according to relevant DMRB Standards with direction from line manager
- Respond to client directions in a responsive and customer focused manner
- Have an aptitude to multi task and to be self-starting in new business environments and service areas.
- Responsible for contributing to the successful completion of projects. This includes preparation of briefs, scope of works etc, completion of technical tasks as appropriate to complete the works, liaison with clients, stakeholders, other professional bodies and contractors the consultancy's Quality Assurance procedures.
- Responsible for working with the rest of the Civils team in advancing our technical capability to the highest standard. This will include identifying innovative approaches and techniques and presenting technical papers.
- Using relevant software packages
