International contractor specialising in delivering ambitious yet achievable construction projects that delight both clients and the communities seeks you to join their advancing team!! This company is responsible for some of the most innovative construction solutions anywhere in the world. They are seeking a senior quantity surveyor to handle a £55m College in their South East sector. Based on site this role will report to the commercial manager with the opportunity to mentor an assistant beneath you.

Key Responsibilities

• General understanding of contract law

• Timely issue of notifications

• Management of Sub-Contractors

• Monitoring cash flow

• Cost control

• Measuring work

• Pricing work

• Produce and monitor Applications/Final Accounts

• Check agreed sub-contract Applications/Accounts

• Completing management reports on time

• Interpreting reports

• Liasing with other team members

• Delegate work and supervise subordinates

• Relationship with client/design team

Ideally you would be competent in contract reporting, law and legislation, have good IT skills, taking measurements, have good understanding of mechanical and electrical services. Experience of claim preparation, programming, Health ... Safety legislation, pricing techniques, procurement (sub-contract), IMS, and Negotiation techniques is ideal.
