Graduate Engineer for Method Statements. A successful and expanding Contractor is currently looking for a Civil Engineering graduate who is qualified and has some practical site exposure.

The Role involves assisting the Project Manager with formulating Method Statements using existing templates and making them site specific, as well as assisting with co-ordinating documentation for submissions, ensuring that all the requisite applications for work, access to areas and a myriad of other documentation is up to date and approved. This is an area of work that interfaces with the underground, so there are numerous documents and clearances required.

The drawings and permits will all be issued in hard copy and in electronic format so you should have suitable IT skills

This is a “cut and carve” project with considerable structural modifications being carried out to the building so that you will need to able to understand the complexity and logistics of a large site. The bulk of the work will be complicated and intricate, with all the architectural details being set out to co-ordinates on both the structural RC orientated sub- and super- structural elements and the finishes.

You will have had a good theoretical as well as a practical background, ideally with minimum of 1 year in field conditions on large projects, preferably for a contractor, be able to read and understand architectural, construction and services drawings, have good AutoCAD skills and a CSCS certificate.

Clear communication skills, with the ability to digest and pass on information, a confident approach in dealing with the main contractor resolving drawing and information queries, a good work ethic that will lead to solving problems with your colleagues are all attributes of the Graduate Engineer we seek.

An opportunity to start a 46 week plus project, long and extended hours to include weekends, on a freelance basis or permanently with a competitive package is offered. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered.
