Job Description

As a Project Planner you will be required to prepare a project work breakdown structure and plan in accordance with the requirements of the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP). Input the planning issues into the project's critical issues risk log. Review planning risks and monitor whether the risk register is updated accordingly. Report actual performance and variance against plan and forecast outcomes. Highlight key milestone and critical path issues to members of the team, provide an assessment of the impact of such issues and recommend solutions to correct the position. You will also be monitoring contractor plans and processes. Proven experience working with P3e.

As part of preparations for a major event in 2012, our client has created a dedicated, projects delivery group to focus on the extensive heavy rail enhancements needed in East, North and West London. These schemes, and associated, accelerated renewals, are part of the plan to increase public transport capacity and reliability for the period. The rail projects will need to integrate with a large number of other developments, undertaken by other parties, at the same time.
