This client is situated in a well located area of north west London and due to an increase in workload they are now looking to expand their development control team.

The duties involved with this role will be to process planning applications, provide general planning advice, process appeals and assist with the enforcement of planning control. Also the successful applicant will be required to represent the development control team at meetings with other sections, council departments and the general public.

You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the development control practice and procedures. You will need to have excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritise your own workload to ensure deadlines are met. The ideal applicant will be meticulous and have the ability to examine and assess information on planning applications and appeals and then be able to present a balanced analysis of the issues raised. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential for this role. Graduate status is preferred though not essential.
