Based in north west London, this well located local authority is currently expanding its programmed maintenance team dealing with corporate property such as schools.

The Building Services manager will be responsible for a group of 10-15 people, dealing with the building maintenance of corporate property. The role is will involve all aspects of building maintenance from mechanical and electrical engineering to refurbishment. The successful applicant will also be responsible for budget management and will be conducting condition surveys.

You will need to be experienced in management and supervision – with an excellent knowledge of the building services industry. Up to date knowledge of current legislation regarding health and safety is essential. You will have the ability to manage budgets and plan programmed maintenance schedules. Project management experience is also highly desirable. You must also be IT literate with excellent communication skills as the role will involve a high level of liaison. The ideal applicant will have an engineering / surveying background of around 15 years experience. Local authority experience is preferred although not essential.
