Job Description

Adults locum needed.

Flexible hours are available up to full time (35 hours). Service combinations can be full time except if providing ENT (4) or Intermediate Care (3) only

We would be particularly interested to hear from Speech and Language Therapists with the following skills in the neurology areas of specialty:

1.Neurology: providing a communication service to people with acquired speech and language problems
2.Neurology: providing a dysphagia service to people with acquired swallowing problems
3.Neurology: Intermediate Care - providing a communication and dysphagia service to people at home and also within a community hospital (car owner/driver essential)
4.ENT: providing a service to people with voice problems - excluding inpatient ENT surgery

You will be expected to hold ad hoc videofluoroscopy clinics for your patients if providing the hospital dysphagia service. If providing a service to ENT you will be liaising with a local Voice Clinic.

Neurology posts cover both inpatients as well as outpatients. There is a full time therapist for the Stroke Unit for inpatients at Princess Royal Hospital.

Support is provided by the adult team leader but postholder/s will be expected to be able to work independently. There is regular secretarial support.

HPC registration will be essential for these posts. Car driver is not essential (unless providing the service to Intermediate Care).
