Our client was founded in 1952; they have built an unrivalled reputation for the development and manufacture of polymeric mesh products. Today, the group has three main business streams, providing solutions that combine both products and associated applications technology to civil engineering, industrial and turf reinforcement customers.

The purpose of this role is to assist in the provision of civil Engineering advice, concerning reinforced soil structures to clients.
The group provides over 800 Application Suggestions including 50 or more fully indemnified designs each year, plus a technical information service to in-house personnel, distributors and Licensees world-wide.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
-To advise and liase with clients to assist in the preparation of Application Suggestions
-To assist the Design Services Manager in the examination of civil engineering problems.
-Responsible for the preparation of cost effective design and supply quotations.
-Responsible for the production of engineering drawings.
-Responsible to provide unit rates and costing of construction methods.

Requirements for this role are as follows:

*A Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

*A knowledge of civil engineering in general and soil mechanics in particular.

*Good communication skills are needed to instruct Clients and understand their requirements.

*Knowledge of construction techniques used for reinforced soil applications is required as well as how these can be applied to individual projects.

*A current driving licence is necessary.
*Working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential to produce
engineering drawings.
