Job Description
Assistant Psychologist (Starting salary £16,676 - £18,259 depending on experience)
DUTIES:
Implement the Cognitive Behavioural Support Programme and related psychological treatment and psycho-educational procedures.
Record, analyse and present data relevant to the monitoring of patients’ progress.
Negotiate behavioural contracts with patients.
Ensure all members of the multi-disciplinary team receive proper instruction in the implementation of any behaviour programmes and are kept aware of changes.
Assist with the psychological assessment of patients, and in particular with risk assessment and formulation. This will include collating background information and assisting with formal testing and other assessment methods, the analysis of data and the provision of formal reports.
Ensure the safekeeping of Psychology Department files, books and equipment.
Facilitate the CBSP shop for use by patients and order and maintain stock.
Take personal responsibility for ensuring that appropriate security procedures are adhered to at all times and that risks are continuously assessed and managed. This includes the safe management of keys, locked areas, resources and for following procedures that are set out in the Unit Policy and Procedure Manuals.
