This consultancy is looking for an experienced CAD technician to join its professional team you will be working closely with the traffic-engineering group and will have a degree or equivalent qualification, in return you will receive the chance to work on career building projects and to expand your AutoCAD expertise,

The team that produced the seminal “Traffic in Towns” report has founded this consultancy. Commissioned by the UK Minister of Transport, this document is widely regarded as the starting point of modern transportation planning. It recognised both the benefits of the “go-anywhere self powered machine for transport and personal locomotion”, as well as the threat posed by the car to urban and rural environments. Importantly, it also demonstrated that most transport issues could not be solved by transport analysis alone, but demanded wider analysis employing a variety of disciplines.

Now, some forty years on, these issues are more relevant than ever, and extensive experience and unique multi-disciplinary approach has consistently placed the firm at the forefront of industry thinking, enabling them to provide practical solutions to clients' problems, often through the implementation of new and innovative measures.

The position is for CAD Technician,
The purpose of the job will be to deliver project work for the traffic-engineering group

Your Principal Accountabilities:
You will be providing traffic management design and modelling for public and private sector clients.

Your work will include the preliminary and feasibility design of high profile schemes, assessment of signal design options, preferred scheme design and quality monitoring.

You will be contributing Production of preliminary and detailed traffic management schemes, including roundabout and junction improvements. As well as Design and development of cycle facilities across London

Requirements

You will have graduated with a relevant degree or equivalent.

You will have Experience in the field of traffic engineering, with relevant technical experience you will have worked with clients to provide solutions to traffic / transport problems.

You will be Proficient use of IT, as well as tools such as ARCADY, OSCADY, LINSIG, TRANSYT and VISSIM and Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and high levels of presentation, and the ability to work proactively and use initiative
