Job Description

Our client is a local authority and is looking for an experienced building surveyor to join their expanding team. As past of the team you will provide technical support, specify repairs, inspect completed works, ensure all works are carried out in compliance with contract/ procurement criteria and heath and safety regulations.

As a Building Surveyor your duties will include:

· Provide management information as required to demonstrate that targets and performance standards relevant to the post are met.
· Organise, manage and control the work carried out by consultants including their performance appraisal.
· Produce, analyse and review data in the Energy Database, providing and presenting management reports on the range of options available.
· Ensure effective liaison with all stakeholders, senior managers, Councillors, tenants and leaseholders.
· Develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure an effective Energy Database is in place.
· Keep up to date with relevant legislation and appraise effects on service advising relevant stakeholders as necessary.
· Keep up to date with changes in legislation and ensure all work complies with Health and Safety legislation, and other statutory requirements.
