This position for a contract Senior Electrical Design Engineer is ideal for someone who likes to travel to Europe every now and then and enjoys working in a small team of friendly people that really create a great working environment. This consultancy is ideally located for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer who lives in South London, Kent, Sussex or East surrey. They are located away from the hustle and bustle of London with modern offices that reflect the company's professional yet relaxed attitude. This building services consultancy's main client is a multi-national archive storage system that has sites all over Europe and the UK. Other areas that they concentrate on include Commercial Buildings, Retail, Education, Transport and Leisure. Just recently this consultancy played a major role M ... E designs for the Arsenal Stadium in Highbury.

To be considered for this highly desirable role you must be able to:
• Effectively work within the design team, to successfully achieve all agreed goals and objectives relating to the area of Building Services Design.
• Be conversant with the various building services design software such as Amtech, Cymap and Dialux, and when necessary use them to produce electrical designs and calculations such as lighting, cable sizing, load calculations, fire alarms, cable tray sizing etc.
• Conduct design validation visits to installation sites to ensure that installation satisfies design intent, and/or to brief the Departmental Technical Services section in the undertaking of their responsibilities
• Supervise and guide less experience Building Services Design Engineers so that they work efficiently and effectively.

Experience with data centers and storage warehouses will be looked upon favorably however anyone without this experience who has the right attitude will have just as much a chance.
