Job Description

An Estates Surveyor is required by a leading retailer to effectively manage a given geographical area of approximately 350 outlets with ancillary accommodation. The role is very autonomous, and requires good self-organisational skills. The role is based in London with an approximate split of 1/2 days out and 3/4 days in the office (geographical area is Central London/South East). To be successful you will have a proven track record in Estate Management and you will ideally, although not necesarilly be MRICS qualified. The key tasks you will undertake will include the negotiation of all rent reviews within the allocated region. This will include, where necessary, submitting written representations to Arbitator/Expert. Negotiation of all Lease Renewals including agreeing basic required lease terms and submission of Expert Witness reports when required. Negotiation of dilapidation/repair schedules and management of outsourced external advisors when appropriate. Ensure compliance of lease covenants including all Landlord and Tenant issues and to successfully resolve property related disputes. Arrange disposals of surplus vacant and part vacant units and negotiate subtenant Lease Renewals and Rent Reviews. Negotiation of surrenders, lease extensions and Deeds of Variation. To negotiate and agree Licences, including Licence for Alterations and satellite dishes.
