Job Description

Candidates will need to have demonstrable experience working to water industry standards and practices. Specialised knowledge in all areas is not necessarily required but a general understanding of areas with specific capabilities is needed. The ability to work with-in multidiscipline teams and to effectively share and exchange knowledge is needed.· Hydraulic design skills for pressure pipelines, gravity sewers and open channels.

· Structural design capabilities.

· Pumping station design capabilities.

· Able to Instruct on the production of plan and cross sectional design drawings.

· Able to write design specifications to water industry standards.

· Working knowledge of word and excel.

· Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes.

· Knowledge of soil mechanics and able to review borehole logs.

· Knowledge of construction methods.

· Good awareness of health and safety related issues.

· Experience of managing deadlines and capable of working on their own initiative.

· Degree in Civil Engineering.

· Chartership or working towards Chartership.
