Job Description

Specialist knowledge and experience in utilising hydrological data both for low flow/reliable yeild and also for flood risk assessments is needed. Knowledge of environmental considerations and engineering requirements is also necessary.
· Experience in utilising rainfall data and hydrological models both for low flow studies and flood studies.

· Experience in considering ecological and hydromorphological aspects in water resource schemes

· Able to consider and undertake optioneering studies for new sources and conjunctive use schemes.

· Experience in supply / demand balance calculation.

· Experience in calculating water resource reliable yield assessments.

· Knowledge of water storage engineering including dams and reservoirs.

· Undertaking flood studies related to new developments and consideration of flood risk.

· Experience of managing deadlines, capable of working on your own initiative with minimal supervision.

· Liasing with third parties eg. environment bodies, environmental and flow surveyors

· Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills.

· Good awareness of related health and safety issues.

· Degree in Civil Engineering.

· Degree in Science with relevant specialis
