Job Description

You will work on the preparation of planning applications and appeals, site appraisals, planning strategies and development plan representations and on providing advice and guidance to clients throughout all stages of the planning process. Our clients include leading retailers, developers and investment institutions as well as local planning authorities.

Person Specification

• MRTPI and/or MRICS planning and development qualified, with a relevant planning degree, able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the planning system. At senior planner level you would be expected to have from 2 to 5 years’ relevant experience.

• Experienced in general development planning, with some experience of large projects. Experience of EIA preparation and co-ordination is desirable, as is experience of the housing sector.

• An understanding of the quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques used in the planning of retail and town centre uses and the application of retail and town centre policy would be an advantage.

• Able to demonstrate excellent communication, written and analytical skills.

• Able to manage a demanding workload.
