Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a local authority based in North Yorkshire.
This authority is based in an area of great scenic beauty and historic character. There are ambitious plans for the area with a vast amount of regeneration and refurbishments taking place.
The work of the forward planning and Development Control Units in delivering the LDF and record number of applications will be central to realising these plans.
You will have an RTPI recognised degree coupled with a minimum of 3 years Planning experience.
You will hold a senior position in the unit of 11 planners, which will be structured into 3 teams Urban, Rural and North. This vacancy is for the Rural team however working in other teams is possible. You will be dealing with major or complex applications, including proposed residential and commercial developments.
As a reward for your hard work you will receive a salary of up to £35,000 per annum and a generous package (Holiday, casual user car allowance, flexi working hours, continued service pension)
