Job Description
Our client has approached us to find an experienced environmental/planning officer for their Environmental Policy Team, to work on the sustainability approaisal of the Council’s Local Development Documents.
The right candidate will need relevant experience of sustainability appraisal of planning documents.
Our Council urgently needs a person who has had experience carrying out sustainability appraisals of development plan documents as well as supplementary planning documents. We have reached the preferred options stage on the development plan documents and will be progressing to the submission stage in autumn 08.
The post is within the Environmental Policy Team whose principal responsibilities include co-ordination of the Council's environmental policy work, input into EIAs that are submitted with major planning applications and other environmental projects, such as air quality, recycling and waste minimisation, biodiversity and working with the LA21 Forum and Urban Studies Centre.
