Job Description
Candidates should be experienced in the detailed design of both Major and Minor highway schemes with a good understanding of DMRB, and must be proficient in the use of MX (Moss) software.
Responsibilities
The role will initially involve the detailed design of Highways using MX on a major Highway scheme. However, the role could expand into more wide ranging responsibilities associated with developing highway schemes from concept stage through to detail design on Highway/infrastructure schemes.
Requirements:
· Degree in Civil Engineering
· Either Chartered / near Chartered (ICE) or Incorporated Engineer
· Experience of using Highways Agency's design standards
· Experience in producing AutoCAD drawings
Specific MX Requirement:
· Input and analysis of survey data
· Roundabout design
· Assessment of overlay construction using isopachyte analysis.
· Earthworks design and assessment of cut and fill volumes.
· Production of base MX drawing information for detail construction drawings.
· Reporting from MX and production of setting out information.
· Good written and verbal communication skills and able to work effectively with colleagues and clients
