Job Description
The Transport Planner will provide assistance to the council's development control function, including commenting on the full range of major planning applications involved around the development of a town centre.
The project is in partnership with Network Rail and my clients are building a new railway station in Mitcham which is all programmed to open in June.
They are also progressing some major town centre regeneration schemes involving significant new development, revised highway layouts, pedestrianisation schemes and possible extensions to existing tram routes. Additionally, work is also continuing on the writing of their LDF policies and supporting SPG document.
However there will be a range of other duties, including negotiations regarding agreements and assisting in the entire project management process.
