Job Description
In particular these work
areas include:
* Green Spaces and public realms at all scales (ie. from green infrastructure planning through
masterplanning to the design and implementation of contemporary parks and urban open spaces.
* Leisure and other landscape led projects where environmental design and genuine sustainable
landscape development and conservation are key objectives.
* Masterplanning, conservation, design and implementation of historic landscapes including urban
parks and gardens and other HLF or public funded projects.
* Landscape planning and design associated with private sector led major settlement expansion,
commercial developments and new sustainable communities and infrastructure, including in
particular landscape and visual impact assessment.
Key objectives for this role:
* To work closely with more senior members of the team in the delivery of design and
planning projects.
* To produce high quality technical landscape work within agreed, set time allocations and
budgets.
Critical Attributes
* LI Part 3 qualified.
* Strong design and drawing capabilities both by hand and computer.
* IT capability and an aptitude in the use of AutoCAD.
* Ability to work as a member of design and multi-disciplinary teams.
Desirable Attributes
* Working towards LI Chartered status.
* Experience of Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and AutoCAD 2007.
The clientencourages Graduate Landscape Architects to obtain Chartered status. Active support is given
through the provision of additional study leave, financial support for attendance at recognised revision
courses and by ongoing mentoring from the Senior Team.
