Job Description

This post will support the Strategic Projects Manager in managing, co-ordinating and administering the delivery of strategic projects across the Highways and Transportation and Policy Divisions of the Environment Directorate. This will consist in the first instance of the transport planning for the 2012 Olympic sailing events at Weymouth and Portland. The major projects which the post will be expected to contribute will include:- Olympic Transport Package Major Scheme Bid and Wemouth and Portland Venue Transport Plan for 2012 You will need to have a degree or similar qualification in a transport related disipline and have had some experience in transport planning and project management of major transport proposals and studies. You will need excellent communication skills, the ability to work for and with other people, the ability to analyse transport information and data, and the ability to support the administration of a substantial project. It is envisaged that this temporary post will be commensurate with level 2 from the job decription.
