The company undertakes projects as main contractor in the public and private sectors with individual contract values ranging from £50,000 to £4m.

This is an opportunity for an experienced setting out engineer to become a permanent member of an integrated construction team. A varied role which includes:

• General management and co-ordination of digital engineering information.
• Setting out of civil engineering and building works on various sites within the company’s operating area. This work is often undertaken on an on demand visitation basis and therefore includes some travelling.
• Land survey and mapping tasks including production of drawings.
• Digital computation of construction quantities for tendering and measurement purposes.
• Occasional site management support.

The ideal candidate should:

• Be fully conversant with the use of robotic total station instruments.
• Be experienced and confident in the setting out of earthworks, highways, structures and buildings.
• Have some experience of AutoCAD.
• Have a fundamental understanding of bill of quantities.
• Be a team player who can work to demanding deadlines with confidence and autonomy.
• Have some experience of construction works at a supervisory level.

A desirable package of £28k to £35k depending on experience will be offered to the successful applicant. The package will include a vehicle, phone, overtime and fantastic opportunities to progress.
