Job Description
BBT have been retained to resource a Senior QS to work as part of a team responsible for delivering the role of Cost Consultant and/or Employers Agent for the delivery of major and minor projects . You will be assisting the Principal Surveyor or other defined line manager in business management, sales and the running of a cost consultancy team and subsequent achievement of project and business goals.
You will act as the project manager in the context of the company business management system & take part in contract reviews relating to the contract with the customer.
In addition other duties may include :
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management reports/liaison with sub-divisional manager
Assisting in securing new and repeat business in line with the sub-divisional budget
Ensuring compliance with QES system and group/Unit directives
Preparing estimates and cost plans in line with the brief
Advising on contract procurement
Preparation of standard documentation – reports, valuations, letters, financial statements etc
Preparation of tender documents as required by procurement choice (including Bills of Quantities)
Assisting in the settlement of construction disputes and prepare and agree final accounts
Producing financial fee report for post contract review
BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar level degree or vocational qualification
Previous Quantity Surveying employment with estimating experience in Civil Sectors.
