The centrally based London office is seeking to expand its Civil Engineering sector in order to provide a continued level of high service with cost-effective and sustainable solutions to traffic and transport projects and the built environment.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the main roles and responsibilities will include;

• undertaking the detail design, contract preparation and management associated with complex street scene and transport infrastructure projects, including the preparation of any feasibility studies and specialist investigations
• taking part in the implementation of various traffic schemes for the local Council
• the supervision of on site contractors to ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the contract and advise the management accordingly
• representing the Council at meetings with government departments, Transport for London, other London wide strategic bodies and internal and external clients
The successful candidate will ideally have a background in Civil Engineering or a related degree and the ability to work well within an established team. Experience in general traffic engineering projects and schemes such as cycle stands, reviewing junctions, bus stop accessibility, pedestrian studies and feasibility studies is also necessary. Experience in the use of AutoCAD and a general knowledge of the UK market is highly beneficial.
