A busy and productive local London Authority is currently sourcing senior levels of engineers to take on the role of Principal within the Traffic and Road Safety Team in order to support and contribute to the development of the Councils objectives, schemes and challenging targets.

Working within a local authority, candidates will need experience with Highway, Traffic and Transportation schemes and working experience with AutoCAD and MS Packages. You will be responsible for a team 5 to design integrated transport schemes and assist / advise / and check the work of team members. Your duties will include auditing the installation standards and completion of the health and safety plan.

You will have at least a HNC degree or equivalent and experience in demonstrating a proven track record in developing highway, traffic and transportation engineering schemes and project management, with the ability or desire to lead a team and manage a project successfully. You will be expected to work to deadlines and be thorough in your approach to the role. You will be responsible for managing projects, which will include resourcing, project management and financial control.
