Job Description

To provide a professional QS service to our clients with accurate outputs delivered in a timely manner. You will be involved in managing the delivery of the commercial service on both individual projects and as part of a larger commercial team delivering a portfolio of work for one the offices major clients.

This role will be based in the offices of the organisations largest client. You will be joining a team of 20 people working in these offices along side both their clients and their competitors. The capital project spend for Gatwick is £100 million per annum.

This role will be working on a portfolio of projects ranging from £50,000 to 5 million in value. This multitude of projects will range from pavement and infrastructure to retail and you will be expected to provide full cost and commercial management from interception to final account.

Responsibilities

» To take responsibility for the full cost control of projects from inception to completion.

» To ensure contracts are administered correctly, reducing risks for both ECH and the client.

» To regularly liaise and build relationships with colleagues ensuring consistency of service delivery, identifying opportunities for developing both the quality and profitability of the service.

» To ensure efficient financial control resulting in projects being delivered to an optimum gross margin.

» To regularly update senior management on the progress of projects and provide high quality information to assist the business in decision-making.

» To mentor and support both trainees and graduates in their professional development at EC Harris.

» To be comfortable taking a simple brief from clients, acting upon it and producing best practice solutions for the clients.
» To gain the confidence of the client and become the focal point for communication.

» To be a team player who supports other members of the team when required and becomes an integral member of that team.
