A leading engineering consultancy in London is currently seeking a Senior Highway Maintenance Engineer to join its civil engineering department, as they have recently been award a 10-year contract to carry out the maintenance and construction of highways in Central London.

Job Purpose:
This is a senior role in the Highway Team to assist in the delivery to budget and programme of projects including highway maintenance (both Carriageway and Footway) and Drainage schemes.

Accountabilities:
Define and agree the scope of work to be carried out in their project and develop work plans to communicate goals to all team members to meet project objectives.

Monitors costs and financial performance of own projects in order to identify variances and take corrective action.

Deliver skilled technical work to standard required.

Provide professional / technical guidance and coaching to team members to ensure appropriate skills / knowledge levels are achieved.

Identify and resolve technical issues / problems to ensure project objectives are met.

Develop and mange client relationships within business sector to ensure client satisfaction is achieved.

Set targets for and appraise individual team members ensuring they receive day to day guidance, support and advice when appropriate

Technical Requirements:
Degree or HND/HNC

Minimum of 5 years relevant highway maintenance experience
