Job Description

With Major reconstruction works currently underway on the East London Line, our Client is in need of an experienced Section Engineer to undertake the construction of a 150 metre long, 6 metre high retaining wall and bridge revamp.

As Section engineer you will be charged with-

- The management of site dimensional control
- That contractors have the facilities for the setting out of the works.
- To produce and review construction method statements, ensuring that the works are constructed
efficiently and safely.
- Plan and programme the section of the works.
- Assist in the management of costs and budgets, and with the measuring of the works for valuations
- Ensuring that the section of work is undertaken safely and in accordance with Health, Safety
& environmental legislation.
- To be responsible for the monitoring, progress reporting and achieving of goals for the work
- Anticipating and resolving problems, in particular related to Engineering issues.
- Working with the design consultants to resolve technical problems and queries that arise during the
course of the works.
- Managing construction records, O&M manuals and as built drawings.
- You will also have relevant Civil Engineering experience.

The role is to be considered on either a permanent or contract basis but would suit someone who is looking for a long term position.
