Job Description

London based Local Authority require a Planning Officer on an initial 3 month contract basis. Duties include dealing with registration and determination of planning and associated applications, enforcement of planning control and tree protection under the Town and Country Planning Act and associated legislation. Meeting the objective of the Development Control Service in providing an efficient, effective and good value service, going out on site visits, Deal with planning enquiries from agents, applicants and the public, Give pre-application planning advice to prospective developers, Deal with correspondence arising from development control work, Liaise with Enforcement Officers in regard to planning contraventions and to use initiative and assume responsibility in all aspects of development control work. This is an initial 3 month contract. You will be degree level qualified or equivalent.
