Because the Council’s current policy is to reduce the number of staff employed, where there is a need shown that additional resources (staff) are required, it is easier to employ temporary staff on a weekly basis rather than delay matters in making a case and seeking approval to recruit permanent staff.

With an increase in work load there is now a resource requirement of a temporary Junior Architect. The person I am seeking would probably be a partly qualified or recently qualified Architect and he or she would be required to carry out feasibility design work on a variety of Education and Leisure projects using AutoCAD. Having the ability to develop schemes into planning applications and then onto preparing full working drawings. You will be part of a small architectural team that currently comprises a Senior Architect and an Architectural Technician/AutoCAD Technician.
