Job Description

Site Manager – Civils. A well-established groundworks & civil engineering contractor, offering a range of services to the construction industry in London and the South East, including the Home Counties is currently seeking an additional Site Manager from an Engineering background for a new build civils project in west London.

New build project. A large warehouse with high quality finishes and associated hard and soft landscaping. You should be able to deal with ongoing dialogue with local and statutory bodies, so you must have good communication skills. Either Engineer trained with a relevant tertiary level qualification, or coming from a strong Trades background, you will be comfortable working both in the field and in the site office.

The Company’s scope of works covers these fields:
• Groundworks
• Civil engineering
• Demolition
• Remediation
• Stabilisation / Ground improvements
• Bulk earthwork
• Highway work

Current Requirement. Civils orientated Site Manager, able to run the project from initial excavation and site clearance through the construction phases to final handover, with special emphasis on producing high quality external finishes. You will be expected to be fully responsible for the safe and profitable running of this development.

Enthusiasm and a genuine desire to progress your career with a growing company, embracing their forward looking approach to Health & Safety are required. A salary package of £48k plus production bonuses, a car and full company benefits package are offered, alternatively a freelance basis is available. Preferably with a 5 day CITB Managers qualification, First Aid and CSCS certified.

• Commercial Retail
• Industrial
• Public Sector / PFI

Staff Welfare. Field staff participate in an ongoing programme of training to ensure that they have the necessary skills and all are equipped with CSCS as standard and other relevant training. The company’s enviable safety record is a result of a combination of this training and their comprehensive safety policy. The Company is accredited to ISO9001 international quality standard and to ISO14001 international environmental standard. Additionally the role of Safety Consultant is undertaken by an external consultancy, working to and closely monitored against their own rigorously high standards. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered.
